EXCITING TIMES COMING TO MAA MEMBERS
The MAA website has a new look and easy functionality. This is to get us more exposure
and bring us into the 21st Century. One of the key features will enable our members to
show and sell their work from the website. More information will be explained at the
January meeting. With this month’s newsletter you will receive an email telling you that the
newsletter is posted on the website and you can access it by clicking on the web address.
To participate in this, you have to:
1. give us a few pictures of your artwork; AND with the pictures have the following:
2. prepare an artist statement;
3. give us your email or your own website as a way for people to reach you;
4. the title of the piece;
5. specify what medium you used;
6. the size of the artwork;
7. the support (canvas, paper, wood, etc.)
8. the price.
We will continue to inform you at the meetings and on future newsletters. So now that this feature is fully
implemented, be ready to hit the ground running. Have this info ready and be one of the first to access
this exciting new selling tool.
At each meeting, members are invited to submit a single piece of artwork for the Artist of
the Month award. At the start of the meeting, members in attendance cast five votes each to
select the month’s award winners. The top 8 highest vote getters are chosen to display their
artwork at one of eight select locations in the Greater Manchester area. To participate, bring
in your painting at least 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.

4. To help MAA publicize its monthly meetings and encourage new

may download and copy. This poster will advertise our monthly meeting
speaker and invite people to attend. We ask that those of you who can, each
month, please copy and post in your favorite grocery store, public spot, etc.
