She will be displaying her work at Peoples United Bank in Bedford from June 2018 to June 2019.

Tracey Goodwin is MAA’s Artist of Year

Tracey’s love of art was established early on. She comes from a family who has a history of artistic painting and crafting. When she and her sister were little their mother and grandmother were always teaching them how to make something fun out of all kinds of materials. They learned to do toll painting on wood or any object that would accept paint. They also learned how to sew properly so they could make their own clothes that they liked but couldn’t afford. They were taught to crochet something her sister liked but Tracey choose to watch her grandmother make wonderful afghans instead of participating. She dabbled in painting over the years not really getting serious about it until a few years ago when she decided to take a paint class and fell in love with it.

Tracey never had any formal training so it was a challenge to get the paint on the canvas to look like the image she was copying. She especially loved painting wildlife which was a learning process because of all the fur and feathers. Whatever she does now in either acrylic or oil she finds that she just loves to paint.

She will be displaying her artwork at NHTI ( NH Institute of Technology) located at 31 College Dr, Concord, NH 03301 for the month of August in their Library. There you will see many of her wildlife paintings and some landscapes as well.

The Manchester Artists Association is displaying at City Hall in Manchester located at 1 City Hall Plaza. Tracey has 3 pieces hanging there. The MAA show will be going on till the end of July. There are many artists with all kinds of wonderful artwork on display for your viewing pleasure.
